On a failure the water usually keeps running until the section is shut off. The hydraulic drive works even while the saw is flooded.
The HPO1200 reaches 1200 mm, so it covers collector pipes. Thirty-five centimetres of clearance around the pipe is enough, which matters in chambers and tight trenches.
Cutting a long pipe into lengths an excavator can lift out and haul away. No open flame, so no restrictions where medium residue remains.
Mechanical cutting instead of a torch removes the heat-affected zone and the open flame from the trench.
